What does Hammurabi’s code tell us about the social class structure of ancient Babylonian society?
His code tells us about the 3 classes in the their structure. The Patricians, the Plebians, and then the slaves. The patricians were like the modern day upper class, they have all the power and money and are more likely to become more successful than any one else. The Plebians, or commoners, who lived on estates, were like the middle class of today. And lastly is the slaves, who had nothing at all.

It was a big factor for them, kind of like their savior in a way. They believed that almost all outcomes depended of the will of the God’s.

He attempted to regulate business practices among his people by teaching them the trading technique. The Mesopotamians loved to trade for things that they didn’t have the resources for.

These laws reveal that the women were the caregivers of the society. They didn’t do the male work, they just did what they were told and what was thought of them. And the rights of them weren’t protected so they had to listen to what the men said.

The code tried to control/limit the corrupt practices of the government by holding them responsible for any action that occurred. It punished whoever was guilty for being corrupt. They either got murdered or their family did.
