Introduction
Culture is defined as the sum of attitudes, customs and beliefs that distinguishes one group of people from another. Cultural value or culture is transmitted through language, material objects, rituals, institutions and art from generation through generation. In time culture changes to fit to the time and what we see now is something different from 100 years back for the same country. Situation and time changes culture from generation to generation. In Indian culture arranged marriage was very prevalent 25 years ago but now it is not quite so. Although we choose our own life partners but families give their blessings later. In the past families in Indian subcontinent used to live as a joint family unit but that changed and we have nuclear families with parents and children. Living together was a taboo thing back than but due to the changes with time people started to accept it. Like It was mentioned earlier that time and situation changes how culture views certain things.
Popular culture or Pop culture as we call it is basically people’s culture which prevails in modern society today. The content of popular culture is determined in large part by industries that disseminate cultural material, for example the film, television and publishing industries as well as the news media. Pop- culture can-not be described as aggregate product of those industries but instead it is the result of a continuing interaction between those industries and the people of the society.
The trends in popular American culture are what will influence an individual’s life by his or her choices, and attitude. Popular American culture will determine what decisions an individual will make throughout life and what will balance each individual. It seems that society tries to mold each individual, throughout an individual’s life. Many times this can be seen through an individual’s Fashion, Television and music.

The clothing people wear is one of the most identifiable elements of American pop culture. This usually defines a style of dress that is popular in a one- to three-year time span. Clothing is most often influenced by celebrities or television personalities. The region of the country a person lives in will also determine the fashion he chooses. Well-known designer labels such as Calvin Klein or Roca wear have become symbols of pop culture in fashion.

Television has influenced American pop culture since the 1950s. An appearance of a product or a person on a popular television program can turn that person or product into a household name overnight.
