In many scientific survey , studies and reports research has confirmed that smoking is harmful to health. One study showed that cigarettes contain nicotine, carbon monoxide and other alkaloids, which can make people addicted. They also have a number of other chemical substances and long-term smoking can lead to cancer, and even coma, respiratory difficulties. Worse is that dangers of smoking to others might be even larger. In this paper I will discuss the dangers of smoking and argue that all countries should ban smoking in public places.Surely most people must be aware that smoking is bad for people's health. But if you smoking in public, do you realize that this is not only harmful to yourself but also cause harm to others? From the research, smoke can be divided into mainstream smoke (smokers inhale the smoke inside the mouth) and sidestream smoke(tobacco smoke from outside lit). In fact, sidestream smoke contains more harmful ingredients than mainstream smoke. From other research show, there are 5.3 million people who die from passive smoking in the United States each year, with about 3.5 million people died of heart disease. The study found that although passive smokers inhale an actual concentration of smoke that is lower than subjective smokers, their cardiovascular systems are easily destroyed than smokers. This is because long-term smokers will produce a compensatory function, which is passive smokers do not have.
