whole life times. Regardless if we want to confront it or not, we will face, challenges and difficulties in our ever day lives and chose to deal with them differently. The way we chose to deal with them can have a negative or a positive affect on the situation. The Great Depression was the worst collapse in the history of American capitalism. The Great Depression did not affect everyone the same way. It did not impact the rich the same way as it did the poor. Many lost their jobs and were unemployed, people had to leave school to support their families. It had a massive effect on a lot of peoples lives, lots were touched by it in some way, adversity doesn't build character it reveals it. Those who grew up during the 1930s have been called the Greatest Generation. This generation made true to the old saying “What does not kill me, makes me stronger.” They have known hard times and have conquered them. The difficult times in life help us appreciate the good times more.
