Immigration Reform Immigration Reform is a big issue in America today. This has become a major political and social issue because of the continued flow of illegal immigrants. President Obama has been trying his best to make it work since there are many Immigrants who are in the United States and has no record but are still not able to work legally or to become legal in the U.S. At this point America’s immigration system is broken. Studies show that too many employers game the system by hiring undocumented workers and there are 11 million people living in the shadows. Neither it’s good for the economy or the country. The president’s plan builds a smart, effective immigration system that continuous efforts to secure the U.S borders and cracks down on employers who hire undocumented immigrants. It is a plan that requires anyone who’s undocumented to get right with the law by paying taxes and a penalty, they will also have to learn English and they will need to get a background check before they are eligible to ear the U.S citizenship. The studies shows that Speaker John Boehner and the House leadership are finally thinking about positive solutions to fix America’s broken immigration system. It is also encouraging that while the GOP plainly stated they will not go to conference with the Senate bill, their reform principles largely mirror the Senate’s, including keeping the borders secure, preventing bad
