Facilitator Availability
Students should make an effort to contact instructor via OLS in order for discussions to be documented. Instructor will make every effort to respond soon as possible, but definitely within 24 hours. If for some reason you do not hear from me within a reasonable amount of time, please text me at the number listed above. If it is an absolute emergency, students may call between the hours of 9AM and 9 PM.
In order to be successful in this course, instructor/student contact is a must. For questions or concerns, please contact me through your individual forum or email me - sstewart26@email.phoenix.edu. Students desiring face-to-face meeting should make that request via OLS.
Assignments
All assignments are due by 6PM on the day of class and should be uploaded to the “Assignments” section on e-campus. Late assignments will be accepted the next day until 11:59PM but will receive a 10% deduction. No assignments will be accepted after then.
Important to note: Technological issues are not considered valid grounds for late assignment submission. In the event of a University of Phoenix server outage, students should submit assignments to the instructor as soon as systems are restored.
Unless an Incomplete grade has been granted, learner assignments submitted after the last day of class will not be accepted. No exceptions.
Learning Teams
University of Phoenix students are expected to work effectively in diverse groups and teams to achieve tasks. They must collaborate and function well in team settings as both leaders and followers. They should respect human diversity and behave in a tolerant manner toward colleagues and peers. Students experiencing difficulties are expected to resolve them within the team if possible. However, please feel free to contact the instructor for guidance regarding concerns in this area. Because Learning Team projects are outcome-based, all members of a Learning Team will generally earn the same grade for Learning Team projects. However, instructor reserves the right to report different grades for different Learning Team members if a substantial imbalance in individual contributions is noted. Students who participate in the completion of Learning Team assignments should use the checkbox in the Assignments link to acknowledge their contribution to the team during the week and post a summary of the team meeting.
Students are expected to actively participate with the learning team and contribute to the team discussions by a) contributing original work that is accepted and used by the team with proof of originality, b) participating in the project from assignment organizing through meaningful final review of the team project for submission, and c) ensuring that team that your contributions are properly quoted, cited, and referenced. Students will complete an individual learning team evaluation due in week 5.
