In this article, the astrobiologists concluded that the earth will be habitable for the next 1.75 to 3.25 billion years. They found this information by studying the different habitable time frames of about 1000 other planets outside of our solar system. Through studying the habitable years of other planets they were able to estimate the remaining years that our planet earth will have based on the position of our planet to the sun and the position of the other planets related to their closest star.
