Mendeleev’s Periodic Table http://corrosion-doctors.org/Periodic/Periodic-Mendeleev.htm Positives
Negatives
Interesting Facts
Mendeleev had worked out that the elements fell into each groups and columns. It helped other scientists to figure out where each of the missing elements fit.
In Mendeleev’s periodic table he had left gaps for the elements that he hadn’t discovered yet. This would of helped remaining scientists out by allowing them to discover the missing elements and place them correctly into the table.
Mendeleev put a lot of time into figuring out what each and every atomic mass was and placing them into the periodic table, by doing this Mendeleev corrected a lot of mistakes made by previous scientists
With Mendeleev’s table he misplaced elements so that similar elements were separated and dis-similar elements were together this would of caused confusion.
In some cases Mendeleev would place the elements according to their similarities in properties and not increasing in increasing order of atomic mass, this would also cause confusement for more scientists.
While sorting out his periodic table, Mendeleev misplaced the hydrogen and placed it above Lithium instead of helium which would later on be an issue for later scientists and would have to later be figured out.
Dmitri Mendeleev ad actually named one of the 118 elements after him after creating the first periodic table. It was called Mendelevium and is placed 101 on the table.
Mendeleev was one of the few scientists that actually gathered information from other scientists around the world instead of gathering his own information.
Before coming up with the idea of making the periodic table Mendeleev was in charge of measuring vodka in Russia.

Interesting Facts
One difference is that the periodic table arranged the elements according to the atomic mass, and Mendeleev arranged it according to increasing atomic weight, this will help further scientists to figure out more elements and put them into the right places.
In the modern periodic table, elements are arranged in accordance with their electronic configurations. The elements having similar electronic configurations are placed in the same group. This will make it easier, if we find new elements to place them in the right place.
In today’s periodic table elements are clearly separated as normal elements, transitional elements and noble gases.
In today’s periodic table the table didn’t concede of the noble gases because they hadn’t been discovered until now. This would of made it hard to figure out
Helium an element with no p shell at all is placed long with a p-block element. This is quite a drawback with no solution.
Hydrogen can be placed in wither group no. 17 or no. 1. Its placed in 1 which isn’t explained. Along with that f-block elements are placed separately which is also not explained.
In the periodic table that 90 of these elements actually occur in nature but 28 of the elements on the periodic table are actually man made.
The rows of the periodic table are called periods. An element's period number is the highest unexcited energy level for an electron of that element.
The present periodic table has 118 elements. Scientists are working on creating and verifying element 120, which will change the
