Everyone has an interesting education
Education is a deep or sore subject for almost all of us because it strikes a huge and personal spot amongst all of us

I, as a freshman in high school, born in 1999, will retire in the year of 2066. That is 52 years from now. If we don’t even know what will happen in five years’ time, how are we to educate people in preparation for it? If we don’t allow our students to have their own voice and learn to problem solve, then how are they going to survive on their own? We are teaching student how to live in 2014, but what about 2066? What will we do then?
The unpredictability is extraordinary.

You’re at your most creative as a child because you make mistakes, not knowing otherwise. Because if you’re not prepared to be wrong, then you’ll never come up with anything original and by the time kids become adults, they’ve lost that capacity.
Kids are taught to be frightened of being wrong, but how are they to learn without making some mistakes along the way? And we’re now running national education systems where mistakes are the worst thing you can make.
The result is, we are educating people out of their creative capacities.
