This is a English romanticism art work done by Thomas cole. He is regarded as the founder of the Hudson River school an American art movement that flourished in the mid-19th century. Thomas coles art work was known for its realistic and detailed portrayal of American landscape and wilderness which feature themes of romanticism.
The titan’s goblet is being called “a picture within a picture and the landscape within a landscape.” As the titan’s goblet is taken from the inspiration of greek mythology and the other side of the painting is the landscape with building, ships, bathers etc.

The Titans ,also known as the elder gods ,ruled before the Olympians overthrew them. Goblet means a drinking glass with a foot and a stem.
The goblet is placed on the mountain which is near to the sea coast. At the bottom of goblet the falls, a seaside city ,some sailing ships is shown. On the goblet top cut , Sailing ships are there and of the buildings on the banks of this enormous artificial lake with trees.
