As we all know – there are tons of social issues within the entire world that Criminal Justice Practitioners deal with, most likely, on a daily basis. One of the many social issues I’ve chosen is Prison Overcrowding.
Prison Overcrowding is one of America’s most critical issues in the Criminal Justice system. Just as the name states, the problem is insufficient jail space – for which the solution would be to build more facilities. What causes this problem? There are a lot of people in the world that believe putting all crime doers in jail is the best resolution. Let’s be honest here

As we all know – child abuse can happen anywhere: in a child’s home, in the organizations, schools or communities the child interacts with. There are four major categories of child abuse: neglect, physical abuse, psychological or emotional abuse, and/or sexual abuse.
In the United States, the criminal justice system serves three primary purposes. The criminal justice system exists to investigate, prosecute, and punish crimes. In the federal system and each state – two separate codes guide the operation of the criminal justice system. These are the codes of Criminal law and the codes of criminal procedure. A code of criminal procedure establishes the manner in which an alleged criminal offender is prosecuted for a crime and sentenced to a punishment if convicted. A code of criminal law establishes what constitutes crimes in certain jurisdictions.
Here are the duties of a Criminal Justice Professional:
Patrol is one of the duties Criminal Justice professionals deal with on an everyday basis. Some criminal justice works, particularly security guards and police officers, patrol a designated area assigned to them in search of sign or potential threats of crime.
