Members of the county fair board:
I was asked to do research on which genre of music to have at the fair; the choices were progressive rock, fusion, country rock, soft rock, jam band and singer-songwriter. I decided on having country rock as the main attraction for the concert. The particular band I decide on is The Eagles. The Eagles are a well-known band and their music isn’t controversial like other types of bands and genres.

The first and second reason that having the eagles as the band for the concert is because they have a lot of fans, from various age groups which means more money for the fair to profit from. The third reason is since The Eagles are just a huge band they are going to give an amazing performance to all the fans and it will leave a mark on everyone who attended the concert and all the people are going to remember which fair it was and will keep coming back for more. Fourth and Fifth reasons are that The Eagles are an older band which introduces the younger generation to a different type of genre, really opening their eyes to all different types of music out there.

Some down falls to have The Eagles would be the cost. The expense may be a lot but I think that no matter what the cost there are going to be a lot of fans attending she that outweighs whatever the cost maybe.

Progressive rock:

The name of this genre in itself is one of the reasons why I didn’t pick this type of music. “Progressive” rock, I don’t know many artists with in this genre that are as big as The Eagles.

Fusion:

Fusion was going to be my next choice. Combining two different types
