PRACTICAL ACTIVITY

Advice to students:

In order to be assessed as competent for Assessment Task 1, you are required to complete the following Practical Activity. Your trainer will complete an Observation Checklist (provided in this Assessment Task) as part of your assessment for this Task.

QUALIFICATION: | Certificate II in Creative Industries (Media) | TASK: | Assessment Task 1: Practical Activity | PRACTICAL ACTIVITY: | In order to be assessed as competent for the unit CUSOHS301A Follow OHS procedures, you are required to demonstrate that you can contribute to OHS processes in the workplace.You are required to demonstrate:1 You can identify hazards2 You can address identified hazards3 You can report residual risk4 You can contribute to risk assessments5 You can provide input into the development of control measures and action plans6 You can report incidents and injuries7 You can raise OHS issues8 You can contribute to workplace meetings and workplace inspections9 You can apply knowledge of OHS roles and responsibilities(i) In order to demonstrate these items, complete the following Hazard ID checklist for one workplace area. (ii) Once you have completed the Hazard ID checklist, fill in the Action Plan for up to six hazards you identified. (iii) Conduct a meeting with your trainer and other colleagues and discuss any items that you have on your Hazard ID template or Action Plan. Record the minutes of the meeting using the template provided.(iv) Finally, interview your workplace supervisor / trainer, and use the OHS Assessment Sheet to fill in the details. The Observation Checklist that follows should be signed by your workplace supervisor or trainer/assessor. |
