Dubai, UAE Admission to Burj Khalifa Tower
This popular destination is home to some of the most luxurious buildings and towers, with the Burj Khalifa being the tallest tower in the world. Therefore, I decided to keep the admission ticket and observation deck card as my souvenir, because it was part of my memorable trip to the tower.

Mumbai, India Rickshaw
Mumbai, the commercial city of India, is known for crowded streets, various festivals and is often called the "The city that never sleeps". My souvenir from this destination is a rickshaw, which is a popular mode of transportation in the city. I chose this as my souvenir, because travelling in rickshaws was one of my favorite things to do in Mumbai as you could easily see the streets of the city and do some sightseeing at the same time a well. I also included my plane from UAE to India, as part of my souvenir.

Singapore Merlion
Singapore, a famous tourist destination with both urban and natural beauty is known for the "Merlion", a mythical creature. Therefore, I decided to use the merlion as my souvenir as it has a lot of cultural meaning behind it and is used as their national mascot. The name, "Merlion" combines "mer" meaning the sea and "lion". The fish body represent Singapore's origin as a fishing village while the lion head represents Singapore's original name "Singapura" meaning "lion city".

Rome, Italy The Leaning Tower of Pisa
My third stopover, Rome, Italy, is a city that boasts with great food, ancient history and culture, Renaissance art and architecture. My souvenir for this destination is The Leaning Tower of Pisa. I think this souvenir describes the city perfectly and reminds me especially of the beautiful architecture, rich history and culture of Rome.

Chichen Itza, Mexico El Castillo
Chichen Itza, Mexico was a large pre-Columbian city built by the Maya civilization, several hundreds of years ago. It is one of the most visited archaeological sites in Mexico and also includes El Castillo a Mesoamerican step-pyramid, which I used as my souvenir as well. This pyramid, also known as the Temple of Kukulkan is found in the heart of the Chichen Itza archaeological site and was built sometime between the 9th and 12th centuries.

Sitka, Alaska Eagle Magnet
On one of my last stopovesr, I visited the city of Sitka in Alaska, USA. This might not a very well known destination to many people, however it is filled with lots of natural beauty and is a very scenic area to travel to. My souvenir is a magnet which I bought from a store in the city and has an eagle as the main object. This represents the common sight of eagles that are found everywhere in the city.
