To the senior management this is Kharon Washington, your system analyst. I will be briefing you of my step by step presentation of the S.D.L.C to ensure success of the development of the new system my project management team is developing better technology that will expand the company’s revenue. The first step of the S.D.L.C is the planning phase. This Phase deals with a lot of intensive research into the companies inner and outer operations. the first step answers the questions of why should there be a new system what kind of system and the main requirements that should be priority to the system. The first step evaluates key information such as should there be a new system what kind of a new system how will the new system cut cost or increase revenues. The second step of the S.D.L.C is the system analysis this phase answers the questions of who will get most use out of the system what the system will do and where and when will the system get utilized.In this phase of the S.D.L.C, the project management team looks into the companies original system of operations and identifies key improvements that can get added or if the old system is just outdated. The analyst stage of S.D.L.C major concern is the as is system which is short for the old way of doing things in comparison with the newly proposed system the new way of doing things. The analysis phase comes with a series of intensive interviewing, group workshops and questionaries. The next step of the S.D.L.C is the design phase in this phase our project management team will decide how the system will operate in terms of hardware, software and network infrastructure. The design phase is when important decisions such as will the system be developed by the company’s development team or outsourced.
