Since the beginning of man religion has had a significant role in our society. In our society today religion has been defined as beliefs, morals, cultural systems, and world views. It has been used as a way to “explain” those hard to answer questions such as “the meaning of life”, “how the life came to exists” or “where the universe cam from” However religion is not necessary in every day life.
Religion in many ways is a very controversial topic in ways that people either have a strong belief for it or they are fully against it. This has brought up the question is religion truly necessary for every day life. Truthfully there is no one answer to this due to the fact that there are so many religions it is difficult to find truth in all of it. Due to this many from today to the start of it all have always used some sort of belief.
Ever since the begging of man, many were affected by different types or variations of religion such as cults, beliefs and views. The ancient Egyptians being some of the first recorded to have religion that had diminished and enslaved those who worshiped Judaism or that which was different from their own beliefs. This is just one of many examples of racism, hate or brutality that the safe haven of religion can hold.
Even though most believe that religion can be cruel others tend to think that it is a way to find a safe haven of-sorts to which it helps them throughout life. Some may be correct in the sense that it helps keep old traditions alive that may have been lost somewhere along the lines of their “journey.” The focus that some have on the meaning of their belief is possibly the only true nature they have to create a better world.
