Figment of Imagination When you are a young kid you used to believe the tooth fairy, Santa Clause, and the Easter bunny was real. Until you grew up and realized that they all were just characterized people to make you believe they did a certain act. Not only that but when you are scared and created a character in your head and believed this person was real ; it’s a little creepy but exactly what Billy Pilgrim experienced. His Santa clause was called the Tralfamadorians. The Tralfamadorians were alien like people that lived in Billy’s head. Tralfamadorians were a figment of his imagination. Billy was the only survivor in an airplane accident which made him quiet however one day he went to new York on television show to explain how we was “kidnapped by a flying saucer in 1967” as stated on page 32. The saucer was from the planet Tralfamore. Billy said the people looked “two feet high and green and shaped like plumbers friends.” What makes the Tralfamadorians a figment of Billy’s imagination? It is that each event that takes place correlates with events that happened in reality. For example, in chapter 4 Billy get abducted and sent back in time to Germany in a box car. An event that previous takes place. The purpose of the Tralfamadorians is like another view of life.
