Introduction
This assignment is about different teaching and learning approaches. It describes the 3 main learning styles as identified in the Visual, Auditory and Kinaesthetic (VAK) model. It then goes on to describe how each of these learning styles could be accommodated by different teaching

For example, learners could be given a brief to work in small groups to design a hand-out summarising ways of optimising the layout of their email inboxes.

Conclusion
There are 3 main learning styles: these are Visual, Auditory and Kinaesthetic. It is important to know what types of teaching approaches would suit each of these learning styles. The teacher can then be armed with appropriate resources and be prepared to teach using different methods.
Functional skills are important for everyone and it is the responsibility of the teacher to embed these functional skills into each lesson.
This assignment has helped understand different learning and teaching approaches and examples of how functional skills could be embedded in some of the IT training courses that I deliver.
