Sydney is using operant conditioning, when she started wearing provocative clothing. Since she liked the attention it was giving her regardless of whether or not it was positive or negative she was still getting attention.
Raoul is experiencing classical conditioning, he correlates the bad storms with losing power and by the way it sounds he is possibly afraid of the dark. After being left alone in the house for several hours he refuses to be left alone when he knows a storm is coming because he thinks when the storm hits, the power will be lost again and he will be left in the dark for several hours once again.
Mandys daughter was exhibiting observational conditioning. She sees her mom calling off from work without a valid reason or excuse and she thinks it is alright for her to do the same. Mandy is leading by example, instead of being disappointed in her daughter she should try to reinforce a positive image and not call off of work.
Deidre is showing signs of classical conditioning. Deidre may by shy or may have a learning disability that prevents her from being able to answer properly. There is a possibility that she may have answered a question wrong and was corrected and possibly ridiculed for answering incorrectly and from that moment her nerves get enraged when she gets called upon.
