In our generation, everything is overrun by technology. We are constantly upgrading our technology. We never have to meet in person because we have so many forms of communication. In a sense we trust all of these forms of technology. We send pictures, and personal messages over websites, like Snapchat, Facebook, Twitter, and
Instagram. This is why I strongly believe that children, which means anyone under the age of 18 should not have social media.
Social media is a great way to stay in contact with old friends and family you do not get to see very often, but we all know that is not what people use it for. People use it to keep tabs on people we like and hate. So everyone knows about everyone. There is no guarantee that people everyone will

There are also many relationships nowadays created on social media sites. How many times have we heard of the 15 year old girl who falls in love with a 15 year old boy who is really a 35 year old pedophile. There is no telling who people really are and children should not be exposed to danger like that.
I believe social media is being used to check up on or spy on people you do or do not like, publicly talk about people you do or do not like, and talk or “hook up” with people. Should teens have social media, can be very controversial because most of the people on social media are teens. Some people can argue that, that is not the only reasons to have social media. But how many people use it the right way. There is more harm on social media than good things. There has of course been the argument that there is already in age restriction on social media which is thirteen, but that is not old enough.
There are the parents who say they monitor their child’s social media account. What
