Drugs are illegal. Alcohol is illegal for anyone under the age of 21. Minors that choose to participate in drinking and doing drugs are breaking the law and are subjecting themselves to bigger issues within the court system. I choose not to do drugs and/or drink alcohol because it leads to bad decisions, it is expensive and it is illegal.
When people take drugs or drink, it puts them in a different mindset. That mindset is not the right one and causes people to make the wrong choices. Some drugs cause hallucinations which can put a person in very dangerous situations. Too much alcohol can land a person in the hospital getting their stomach pumped due to alcohol poisoning. Often times I see drugs and alcohol being used as a scapegoat to take the blame for the poor decisions people make while under the influence or intoxicated. One of their bad decisions may include drunk or influenced driving. Now that I am a licensed driver, I will never go out and drink or drugs knowing I have to drive myself home. Furthermore, I know that I am the only one responsible for any and all of my actions so I would never want to “Blame it on the Alcohol”.
Buying drugs and alcohol is expensive. Being an addict is worse. I have a job and I am trying to save for a new car while paying for little things like food and gas. Making my checks spread out for two weeks is hard so I know adding drugs and alcohol to the bill would break the bank. I will not do drugs and alcohol because
