For my climate change projection I decided to do New York because it is one of the largest cities in the world. Tourist all across the world travel to New York just to see how beautiful it is and to get a firsthand look at some of the great sightings. By doing this research I was able to find that seasons will be changing.
Spring will be arriving anywhere from 1-2weeks earlier or even up to 3 weeks later. Growing season will be stretched out by 4 weeks or even up to up to 6 weeks longer. Summer will arrive earlier by 1 week or 3 weeks and stay longer by 2 weeks or 3 weeks higher. This might not seem like a big deal but it is because farmers and everyone else who really depend on the season to do certain things have to adjust their schedule so that they can make sure to get the best production out of the season. Some plants, trees, and other type of things that will grow from the soil will be forced to either be growing sooner have to be pushed back an example of this is Lilacs will be out for 4 days earlier than usual, Apples will be growing 9 days earlier, and Grapes will be out 6 days earlier.
Temperature will also increase it is estimated by 2020 temperatures will increase by 1.5 to 3 degrees Fahrenheit. By 2050 temperatures will continue to soar by 3 degrees to 5 degrees.by 2080 temperatures will continue to rise by 4 to 7.5 degrees Fahrenheit.
