In the film “The Gods Must Be Crazy” by Jamie Uys, there is a contrast between the primitive and the civilized society. The civilized society has come a long way since its primitive days. Its hard to imagine that there are still people in this world that live without the advantages and developments of a civilized society. Those living in a civilized society would must likely believe that their society is better than that of a primitive society, but like wise a primitive society would think their society is better. In this essay, a comparison will be made between the different traits that make up these two different societies.
In the film, the Bushmen society is considered to be the primitive while the people This is something not seen in the primitive society of the Bushmen.
A non-repressive civilization would be a civilization that is not restrain, suppressed or controlled. I believe that I non-repressive civilization is not possible because it would require giving human total freedom to do as they please which would lead to chaos. Asking people to live in a non repressive society would be asking them to live a fundamentally different way of life. Relationships between men and women would be totally different. This would be a good thing because it would mean that these two sexes would actually become equal, but how I see it, that is an impossibility. I do not think men and women would ever be allow to do exactly the same thing, such as me playing football if I wanted to.
Humans are very complex and have a natural desire to feel powerful and put other people down. Some want to control other people's life whether its because of greed, self esteem issues, compensation or a personality disorder. The biggest example of control over others would be slavery in our past. Even though slavery no longer exist, in this modern day there is still powerful people controlling a lower class few. Big companies such as apple are taking advantage of poor children who need every money they can get, so these companies pay them a very low wage for products being sold for hundreds in more developed countries. Because of people like this, a
