Job Description:

You will oversee all preschool operations which include human resources, quality assurance and facility operations. Develop strong relationships with families. Managing a budget and licensing. Have a positive and upbeat attitude while working in a fast paced environment. Be able to be effective with organizational, time management and multitasking skills. A person in this position must have a deep love for children and a strong commitment to education.

Explain why each of the skills listed are necessary for success in the position:
Researching this job and its responsibilities and qualifications was very interesting. This position would be something I would definitely be interested in applying for however I would need more experience before doing so. Being knowledgeable of the department of health/licensing and credentialing issues is important in order to run a school that was meeting all the requirements of not only the state laws but the department of health as well. This would keep the children and staff safe at all times. Communication is important for children, teachers and families in all forms (verbal, written and computers). Sending emails to families or other teachers is a method today that everyone is familiar with and another source to reach out in the event you can’t talk in person. Having a degree whether master’s or bachelor’s degree means you have the qualifications and education on current and historical trends in education. You are able to provide the tools necessary for in classroom curriculum. Teacher certification verifies that the applicant received the necessary credentials to authorize them to teach a specific grade that they are qualified for according to the state requirements. And knowledge of private schools and public programming will help with the understanding of how private schools are funded and run by private organization and not the government. By having all these qualification, it will make you a successful candidate for this position. This job definitely focuses more on qualifications and how to operate under regulations while assisting the teachers and aides in the classroom.
