Materials:
Bowl
Blender
Electric hand mixer, or whisk
Large spoon
Large pan size: 10.5 x 14.75 x 2.25in
Small pan size: 9.5 x 13.5 x 2in
Ingredients:
For the cake:
1- Box Betty Crocker™ SuperMoist™ triple chocolate fudge cake mix
3- large eggs 1 ¼ cups of water 1/3 cup of oil
For the flan:
1- 12 ounce can evaporated milk
1- 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
4 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
3- large eggs
1 tbsp. vanilla extract
First, I separate the cake and flan ingredients, making the process easier and organized. Starting with the chocolate cake mix (I prefer cake mix which is much easier, and cheaper than making from scratch.) Pour cake mix into a large mixing bowl along with eggs, water, and oil. Using a large spoon or whisk mix thoroughly until well incorporated, or if preferred an electric hand mixer (I prefer an electric hand mixer it’s much easier, and keeps ingredients well incorporated which is important for our recipe to turn out correctly.) Set the bowl of cake batter to a side until ready for the next step. As for the Flan, you’re going to need a blender to combine evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and cream cheese. (I prefer to open cream cheese package, and set in a bowl to microwave for one minute before put in the blender). Blend
