Dick is a 57 year old male. He is single but is in a relationship but he lives alone. He has been diagnosed with PTSD caused by the Vietnam War. He served from 1970 until 1972. He has told of his most painful wounds is what he has seen. He was a civilian for just a few years before he reenlisted into the military to complete a 20 year service. He did not have any symptoms during his active duty. In 1995 he started to have outburst of anger, he was easily scared, he also suffered from survivor’s guilt, and many flashbacks. He had frequent black outs. He has just made a big move in the past year. He says he feels that he has made a good choice about his move in his life. But it has intensified his flashbacks. He spends most of his time by himself and does not share his PTSD with others. He has a good support system with his girlfriend she is aware of all his conditions. His diagnosis was made on these symptoms. He has experienced an event that has threatened him with harm or death. His response included fear, helplessness, and or horror. He has reoccurring nightmares. Feels as he is reliving the events. Intense distress with cues that resemble the events. He avoids talking about the events surrounding the trauma. He has no interest in activities, he feels alone and unable to love. He feels he will not have a normal lifespan. He has trouble going to sleep and staying asleep. He has outbursts of anger and agitation. All of his symptoms are chronic. He and his therapist have set
