Public Opinion Polling For the polling, I chose ten questions that I thought would get the most feedback. The first question I chose was; should America close the gates for people that come from Africa that might be infected with Ebola? I chose this question because I wanted to see how people feel about the Ebola outbreak here in the US. The second question is; is eighteen the appropriate age to vote? I chose this question because I don’t think teens have the right frame of mind to vote seriously. The third question I chose was; do you approve or disapprove of the way Barack Obama is handling the situation in Ukraine? I chose this question because I’ve heard a lot of people aren’t happy with Obama involving himself in other countries issues. The fourth question I chose was; do you consider Russia an ally of the United States? I chose this question because I was curious on people’s viewpoints on Russia. The fifth question I chose was; is technology harming the world today? I chose the question because people are so into technology nowadays that they tend to rely on it too much. The sixth question I chose was; has the U.S done a good job of treating the people who are effected with Ebola? I chose this question because I don’t think the people who have Ebola are getting treated fairly by the people who work in the hospitals. The seventh question I chose was; should marijuana be illegal? I chose this question because I have noticed that it’s not having a positive effect on people, especially teenagers, it makes you slower and less active. In my opinion, I feel marijuana should only be given to those who actually need it, like cancer patients because it has a purpose to actually fight off the cancer the person has and make them recover, and feel less pain.
The eighth question I chose was; do you think Cordova should have off campus lunch? I chose this question because I feel students should be able to leave at lunch and go eat whatever they want, because the food that they serve here at school is not good at all. It isn’t worth the money, and the lines in the lunch room are so long, it’s not worth waiting for. The ninth question I chose was; do you think the police more as friends, enemies, or do you think of them in either of these ways at all? I chose this question because a lot of people view the police in different ways, negative, positive, or no opinion at all. I think the police are good because they can prevent a lot of life threatening things from happening. The tenth question I chose was; should abortion be available, but under stricter limits than it is now. I chose this question because I feel killing innocent babies is unhuman. But there are some situations where I think that I would understand why a woman would want to do that.
For all the questions there were ten responses for each, and in all there were one hundred responses. For the first question there were four strongly agree,
