Dear Hon Ms H Morton
I am a future elector and a student in Churchlands Senior High School studying in Year 9I am currently concerned about the laws and restriction for the use of cannabis for medicinal purposes and asking for a response regarding this topic.
As the minister of Drug and Alcohol for WA I would like you to reconsider the restrictions for medicinal cannabis as it will help ‘in need’ patients with rare problems.
Medicinal Marijuana will help cancer patients significantly since they go through chemotherapy (the treatment of disease by the use of chemical substances). Chemotherapy has many side effects such as little or no appetite, nausea, vomiting and many more. When cannabis leaves are smoked by cancer patients, the effects of poor appetite and nausea are dropped dramatically. Not only does give them a healthier lifestyle but a longer life expectancy as well. People affected by severe depression may use this
Li Philip Brown 2012-12-06 In this course, we have studied China, Korea, and Japan as the civilization of East Asia. After a whole semester of studying, personally I believe that pre-modern China, Korea, and Japan do share sufficiently in political, social, intellectual, and cultural traditions. Therefore, we could classify these countries together as parts of a same civilization. To be more specific, the similarity reflected in many fields, such as writing system, bureaucratic reforms, the…
The letters were both perceived and treated as treasured mementoes. This monumental time period allowed for the endless possibilities of interactions across the country. The massive mobilization of Americans—male and female, black and white, rich and poor, immigrant…
if the Constitution does not say you cannot do something, than you can do it. To what extent do these political parties follow through their interpretations of the Constitution? Do their claims and actions follow through? In some cases each political party follows through with their own views of the interpretation of the Constitution. Thomas Jefferson wrote a letter to Gideon Granger. In the letter Jefferson, a strict constructionist, talked of the Constitution and the principles on which it stands…
Abigail Adams was born in November 11, 1744 in Weymouth Massachusetts. She was encouraged by her parents to learn how to read and write. She was the daughter of a minister. She was interested in Shakespearean literature, letters and classics. Adams did not, however, attend school, which was common for girls at the time. In 1762 Abigail was reunited with her childhood acquaintance John Adams. He was impressed by Abigail’s knowledge of poetry, philosophy and politics. There was a strong connection…
The Balfour Declaration was a November 2, 1917 letter from British Foreign Secretary Arthur James Balfour to Lord Rothschild that made public the British support of a Jewish homeland in Palestine. The Balfour Declaration led the League of Nations to entrust the United Kingdom with the Palestine Mandate in 1922 The Balfour Declaration was a product of years of careful negotiation. After centuries of living in a diaspora, the 1894 Dreyfus Affair in France shocked Jews into realizing they would not…
Britain and its American colonies. The French and Indian War provided a basis for change on political, economic, and ideological terms. The British victory solidified England’s role as the world’s great commercial nation and its control of settled regions in North America. However, this power came with consequences for Britain. Although urgency to revolt had not yet been instilled among the colonists, political ties between Britain and the British colonies were weakened, economic status in the colonies…
Humanists transformed Western Europe during the Renaissance by creating ultra-realistic artwork, began to use science and new inventions to replace church superstation and spread new ideas, and questioned political and religious institutions leading to increase of literacy and an ‘explosion of knowledge.’ Humanism was a movement during the Renaissance period in Western Europe. Humanists believed they could better understand the world and human nature by returning to the study of the classics of…
to say, “Stop! Do you have any idea what you are doing?” As stated by Laudicinia, this is a, “play of bureaucratic proceduralism, partisan political pressures, intergovernmental rivalries, competing interest group pressures…which produced a series of non–decisions and, ultimately, disaster”(White, 1978). The text did indicate several instances of political pressures, rivalries between individuals and departments, intentional and perhaps unintentional oversight, and above all, in my opinion, a complete…
caution, with disapproval, or with flying colors. As this Scientific Revolution was a new mindset across Europe, there were many political, religious and social factors that affected the work of scientists in the sixteenth and seventeenth century. To begin, political factors affected the work of scientists in several ways. High ranking officials in the political world did not typically work in science related fields. However, their input greatly affected the work that scientists worked so hard to put out…
controversy on which territory will be what. As the country expands as a whole, the government will have to expand to keep up. Democracy will grow to become America’s current form of government. For a long period of time, wives of political men were kept out of the political field. If not doing housework, the women were in factories working or teaching in school, though uneducated themselves (Doc B). Only the landowning white folks were allowed at have say in the government. Elizabeth Cady Stanton decided…
