1.5 Data Protection – Personal data shall be obtained only for one or more specified and lawful purposes, and shall not be further processed in any manner incompatible with that purpose or those purposes.
Grievance – Grievances are dealt with and resolved informally through discussion between the aggrieved employee and their line manager. Grievances are concerns, problems or complaints raised by an employee and must be made in writing. However, before using the grievance procedure it is expected that an employee will try to resolve their complaint informally if at all possible. The formal stage of the procedure should only be used when the informal stage has failed to resolve the issue or is not making progress at reasonable speed.
Conflict management – Supervisors spend more of their time on conflict management and managers spend more of their time on relational employee conflicts.
Anti-discriminatory practice – A duty and responsibility to counter discrimination which is believe in people’s right to respect in relation to their age, disability, ethnicity, gender, health, religious beliefs and sexuality.
Health & Safety – Provide and maintain safety equipment and safe systems of work, ensure materials used are properly stored, handled, used and transported, provide information, training, instruction and supervision - ensure staff are aware of instructions provided by manufacturers and suppliers of equipment, provide a safe place of employment, provide a safe working environment and provide a written safety policy/risk assessment.
