Part 1
Dear fam, Oh my goodness guys! So yesterday I was on the highway, when all of a sudden all the cars stopped, for what I thought was no reason. Well, I didn’t have enough time to fully react and rear-ended the car in front of me! I was so scared when it happened, you have no idea. Luckily nobody was really hurt, which was really good because honestly I probably would have cried myself to sleep. As soon as I got out of the car the guy was real jerk and I tried to apologize as much as I could but all he kept saying is “WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!” The guy did just not understand what I kept telling him so I let him yell at me until he calmed down, it took a lot out of me, believe me ;-). Well, after the policeman showed up and told us what we had to do the guy apologized and said he was sorry for the way he reacted. The second he apologized it felt like the world was lifted off my shoulders because I felt so terrible for what I did to him and his car. At the end of the day everything was okay but I still can’t believe the guy just yelled at me that way, wasn’t that crazy

Hello Anthony, There is a major difference between talking to someone in person than talking to someone through email or threaded conversations on the internet forum. We are all aware that when we are speaking face to face to someone we are able to visualize body language and extract more information. Unfortunately, it is not the same when writing these same conversations through email or online discussions. Inclusive language is one that does not express too much emotion, but delivers the proper message that is being conveyed. The best possible way that you could have avoided these mistakes when speaking your message is by not including personal information about yourself. It is understandable to want to make it a message that includes your personality but understand that not everyone in the class knows who you truly are and to some it could be taken as a sign of disrespect. The best advice that I could give to you is always try to keep your emotions at a minimum. My reasoning is because it is really difficult to convey your message when you write what you say because everyone has a different personality and expresses themselves differently. Another pointer that I could give you is to NOT write anything when you are in a rush because you do not fully understand what you are writing and it could come back to haunt you in the end.

To whom it may concern,

This is to inform you that a claim has been brought against me for an incident that occurred on Monday, July 15th 2009. The accident was caused due to my negligence of noticing that there was horrendous traffic that very day. I was not aware of my surroundings and should have been paying more attention to what was happening around me. The police have been notified and a report should be in your office at their earliest convenience. I do understand the consequences of my actions and will be more cautious of my driving habits. This is my first accident as a driver, I am not fully aware of what exactly needs to happen from here on out. I have a few questions to ask and would like to speak to a representative
