Depuis le début, nous marchons avec amour, dans le silence…
“He will not cower, he will not cry,
For to be called a cur he would rather die.
A cur and a fighter are not the same.
A cur is a quitter, but a fighter is game!

Fact: I bet some people do not know that pit bulls out ranked the Golden Retrieve and Chihuahuas in personality tests conducted by the ATTS (American Temperament Testing Society.) Fact: The pit bull has been proven to be less aggressive than Beagles, Collies, and Dachshunds. Fact: It has also been proven false that pit bulls have a “lock-jaw.” X-rays of pit bulls and other dogs have been compared and the pit bull jaw composure is not any different from other dog breeds. Fact: In the 1900’s pit bulls were looked upon as “nanny-dogs” because they were so good with children; no one can say that these dogs should not be around children because they are vicious, they were used to take care of children. Fact: It has been proven, that no neutered, household pit has ever killed and anyone. Fact: These dogs were bred to be dog aggressive, and to have a high prey drive. Human aggression was an undesirable trait, so it was not bred into the bloodlines. A human aggressive dog was undesirable because it required too much attention before and after fights. People used their fighting dogs as family pets, so human aggression was not tolerated. Fact: There are many pit bull therapy dogs, used for Seeing Eye dogs and such. The truth is, many people don’t know the difference between a box and a pit bull. Many people also are unaware that “pit bull” is a group of dog breeds consisting of the American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, and the Staffordshire bull terrier. It has become a huge part of the pit bull communities’ life goal to make these dogs loved and respected. This responsibility has especially affected me as a person, I love my dogs, and no one is going to tell me that my dogs are vicious. I have personal experience that these dogs, and this community has given me. They have taught me to be strong, and not to back down even if someone wants to challenge my ideas of a family dog because of some god-awful, exaggerated news article. These people, and these dogs have shown me that no matter what life throws at us, we can bounce right back and stronger than ever. It is amazing how these dogs could be so tattered and rejected by society but they still somehow can manage a tail wag when they see a human. These dogs have really opened my eyes as a person and that no matter what life throws at me, Good can always be found in the world (even if you can’t always see it.)
La peur regardant dans les yeux, je ne clignote pas…

Look me in my eyes but show no sign of fear

call me with a whistle that’s how I know your here

walk me with conviction and hold your head up high

because for you and only you, you know that I will die

if you feed me when I’m hungry and rub my head and chest

I will protect you to the end with my last dying breath
-The Original dog man

Inhale, the smell of blood and manure infects your lungs. “BANG!” The gates to the pins slam shut. In only a few moments the chime of Big Ben will cue the release of the beasts. The murderous beast exhales into the cool air; his breathe ascending, becoming one with the clouds. A choir of howls lets loose into the night, the beasts lets his moo roll out of his throat. “DING! DING! DING!” The gates open “Schink!” The “bullies” latch onto the beast, the first one to bring him down wins. I am sure that there are many of you not surprised that this was the life of the pit bull before it became the dogs we know today. In the 17th and 18th century these dogs were actually used to fight bulls. While their night job was fierce, their day job was usually to baby sit the children and keep up the farm. These dogs are strong minded and strong bodied, but they have
