There are a variety of lifestyle factors that effect ones health; they are split into two categories. Material and psychosocial, material factors are things such as environmental and living standards where as psychosocial are things like stress and risk taking.
Binge Drinking
The NHS definition of binge drinking is drinking lots of alcohol in a short space of time or drinking to get drunk or feel the effects of alcohol. Some studies show that drinking a large amount of alcohol over a short period of time may be worse for your health than frequently drinking small quantities. It's no secret that alcohol consumption can cause major health problems; Researchers have linked alcohol consumption to more than 60 diseases. Here is a list of only some of the affects alcohol can have on the body:
Cancer
Cardiovascular Disease
Cirrhosis
Depression
Seizures and
High blood Pressure

Obesity
If you are obese or overweight, this means that you are carrying excess body fat. Being overweight or obese is not just about how you look. Over time, it means that you have an increased risk of developing various health problems. If you are overweight or obese, from day to day you may: Feel tired and lacking in energy, experience breathing problems (for example, shortness of breath when moving around, or not being able to cope with sudden bursts of physical activity like running across the road). Feel that you sweat a lot compared with other people, develop skin irritation and have difficulty sleeping. You may also have an increased risk of developing: Impaired glucose tolerance (pre-diabetes). Type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol or triglyceride levels, high blood pressure, and coronary heart disease.
Smoking
Smoking has very serious affects on your body, it causes a variety of health issues and is estimated 50% of smokers will die of smoke related diseases. As well as leaving you with bad breath and smelly clothes, smoking damages your heart and your blood circulation, increasing your risk of developing conditions such as: coronary heart disease, heart attack, stroke and peripheral vascular disease.
