As a parent, one would wish for a world where a child’s safety is guaranteed, but how would that be if guns - and consequently, violence - are common and seen as the norm, or required, even? The chairman of the NFA claims that 90% of teachers and administrators said that an armed officer would make their schools safer, but would you really place your child’s life in the hands of a weapon? If guns were controlled and regulated, 100% of children would be safe and happy, and wouldn't ever think of turning to a gun to solve minute problems. A life is something not easily gained, and therefore, we must ensure safety is never compromised; gun control is easily the most viable option, where the government strictly oversees where guns are sold and to whom. Yet, as long as we continue to sit back and do nothing, mass killings and gun wielding will continue to be at an all-time high; the children of tomorrow are being exposed to the violent style of thinking, where guns are freely given and allowed to be used.
