This is the most important part of the chapter because it represents the struggle between social class as well as the educational problems present in the society. Different social classes restrict mingling with other social classes.

This is the most important part of the chapter because it shows that the shah attempted to fix the bad state of the society by choosing the right prime ministers but the people over hated the shah himself so he had to resign despite bringing in good prime ministers.

The many pieces represent the different parts of the society in which no one agrees with one another and forms split groups.

This is the most important part of the chapter because it shows the development of Iran. Essentially, this scene compares Iran and its development over time to Moscow, as well as the type of people that live there. Moscow has more cold people and worse conditions.

This is the most important part of the chapter because it shows the ways that people have to use to escape an oppressing government. People attempted to get away by flocking with sheep and crossing borders in hopes that the other side of the border is much better than a chaotic government such as Iran at that time.

Marji and her family breaks away from reality for a moment and decides to go on a trip to Spain and Italy, where they can enjoy their time while they can because they know that soon they will not be able to. In other words, they decide to go on a trip to enjoy their time together before facing the worse.

Essentially, the main message being delivered in this chapter is that those who die for the people are heroes, regardless if they are right or wrong in their doings. Her father was killed, but he was still regarded as a hero.
