PEES 175, Wellness for Life, is a General Education requirement in the Lander University General Education curriculum. This course was planned and implemented to accomplish Lander University General Education Goal “H” (“Acquire an understanding of health.”).
The Department of Physical Education and Exercise Studies has attempted to develop a uniform curriculum for all sections of PEES 175 to assure that all Lander students are provided a systematic and organized introduction to fitness/wellness concepts. All sections of PEES 175 involve two (2) lecture hours per week. A one hour physical activity class (PEES 176 sequence) needs to be successfully completed to satisfy the 3 hour General Education requirement.
This syllabus contains the information necessary to understand the course requirements and the general intent of the course.
