English Essay

I remember one time when I felt pressured to do something that I didn’t want to do and it really created a huge impact on my life. It was about three and a half years ago when I had to move from Virginia to here. Throughout the last couple of years that I have been here, it has created many problems between me and my family. However, I have met some wonderful people here but I have also lost others along the way…
“Meaghan!! Your dad and I need to talk to you please.” My mom shouted from the kitchen. Anytime I hear those words, I begin to think of anything I could have done wrong because I feel like I always get in trouble when both of my parents want to talk to me. I came out of my room and sat at the kitchen table with both of them. Right away I could tell that I was not in trouble but I could see a look of anxiety on both of their faces.

No words came out of my mouth for a few minutes and finally my dad began to say something to fill the air that seemed to be so thick and heavy with sadness.
“Meaghan... We want you to know that you do not have to come but it would mean a lot to us if you did. You still have a few weeks to decide but we are just telling you now.” My dad said as I got up and walked back to my bedroom without saying a word.
A few days later, my real mom found out about it and was not happy at all. For those few weeks, both of my parents were trying to persuade me to stay and go and stay and go. I didn’t know what to do because I didn’t want to hurt any of my parents. However, I did finally decide to move to Maryland with my step mom, dad, and little brother Dylan. My real mom and the rest of my family in Virginia were so upset. I am still pondering the question as to why but I think it was because I knew I would have a better life in Maryland.
The first year that I moved was very tough on my real mom and I. We
