Overweight and Obesity

Overweight and Obesity had recently became a large problem in Australia. Overweight and Obesity has doubled in Australia over the past 20 years, and is ranked to be one of the fattest country among developed countries. According to the Australian Bureau Statistics, one in every Australian is obese and has greatly doubled in 10 years. Overweight and Obesity is not a problem to be lightly glanced because it effects our 4 dimensions of health. The 4 dimensions of health includes our physical, mental, social and spiritual health. Obesity is mainly caused by our unhealthy eating diet, lack of physical activity and family eating habits.
Overweight and Obesity has been greatly seen as a growing threat. Overweight and Obesity is a word that has a straight forward meaning. Being an obese is not a healthy lifestyle and can lead to many health problems. An obese is more likely to be teased by society. This can undefinably effect their social health. This can chain to their social health then to their spiritual health as well.

Obesity is commonly squinted by society, but that soon have to change. Obesity does not only effect a person short-term, but mostly long-term. This may result to Coronary heart disease, hypertension, stroke, type 2 diabetes and a various range of cancer. An obese child may very likely be obese in his adulthood. Approximately 80% of children who were obese continue to be an obese throughout their life.

Obesity is usually stored kilojoules that aren’t used. This means that a person eats more kilojoules than them burning their energy. Diet has a huge impact on a person. Sugary candies and snacks can lead to insulin resistance. Fat and carbohydrates are taken from the small intestine through the portal veins, which takes it to your liver. And that is broken down to be processed. Eating fat and carbohydrate is good as it is your source of energy. This is then transferred to parts of your body where it is needed. But eating lots of them can lead to serious problem. Excess insulin will be stored into fats. And that’s why insulin is said to be a “fat-producing hormone”. This
