As I arrived around 3:40 at children’s park, there were people already there may be about 300-400 people. My boyfriend and I started looking around; we saw two 8 to 9 foot tall paper material heads of Ghandi and Martin Luther King Jr. At 4:15pm the march started, People started blowing whistles and using pans as drums. I began to look at people’s faces and at their signs. All we really want is there to be change, freedom, education, healthcare, jobs, no more foreclosures’ on people’s homes, taxing the rich, no more war, to bring the troops home, and many more reasons of which We the People, are fed up with. Many of the signs I really liked were “trickle down? It never rains in southern California”,”American dream my ass”, and the sign that got most of the attention, was of the man holding a poster with a mirror in the middle that said “this is the face of democracy, beautiful isn’t it?” As everyone walked down the street the cops’ were carefully watching over us. I started to feel over whelmed and emotional, people were uniting for a cause to change the future, as the march progressed I started to join in with the chanting. “BANKS GOT BAIL OUT, WE GOT SOLD OUT!”, “SHOW ME WHAT DEMOCRACY LOOKS LIKE, THIS IS WHAT DEMOCRACY LOOKS LIKE!” Half way we met up with a huge crowd that was at city hall, waiting to welcome us, we stood outside, chanting at the top of our lungs, people dancing, drums beating, whistles blowing. We began the march again and went through the building at 5:18pm; we were back to where we started at
