In recent years, many counties have coped with the same problem, obesity. Obesity has sweeping the globe. Especially, the UK has become second obesity nation only followed the US. According to text 1 “By 2050, Foresight modelling indicates that 60% of adult men, 50% of adult women and about 25% of all children under 16 could be obese. “ So obesity cannot be overlooked. These are some primary causes of obesity. Firstly, gene can lead to obesity (U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, 2012). The studies of identical twins show that genes have a huge influence on a person's weight. If parents all are obesity, their child has higher risk of obesity. Because of children not only inherited the gene of obese, but also developed the wrong dining habits that they always income excess calories. In addition, lack of exercises can lead to obesity as well. “When more energy IN than energy OUT over time will lead to weight gain”. According to Daily Mail reported, 60% British said, they would rather die than exercise everyday. Only one third British adults achieved the minimum standard of exercise—five times per week. So more people become obese, because of they don’t have enough activity to burn excess calories. More important thing is the real social environment encourages obesity.
