Obama Care
Obama Care, also known as The Health Care Reform Act, was created by President Obama to make health care more affordable and easier to access for more Americans. Although the plan was to help Americans, is everyone really being helped? No, some will be greatly affected by this new change. Throughout the whole change that was created to help all citizens of the United States, some are affected in positive ways and some affected in negative ways.
Proponents of Obama Care support the policy that over half of the Americans who are uninsured can get free or low cost health insurance using their state’s health insurance marketplace. Many appreciate this new change in which results in affordable health insurance. People who had to pay overpriced doctor or hospital visits will now be able to go affordably.
Proponents of Obama Care that are low-income childless adults who didn’t qualify for Medicaid, now will as of 2014. With this new change, young Americans will now have access to affordable health care. This change is very helpful because young Americans are just starting life so many couldn’t afford the doctor and hospital visits which could really be necessary for their health. This is one step closer to a healthier America.
