The reason why choose I nursing as a profession? There are a number of reasons, personal, professional, money, job security, and just a love for people. When I decided to enter into nursing I knew it to be a life-long commitment. As a student nurse I’ve committed to the core values of becoming a nurse which include human dignity, integrity, autonomy, altruism, and social justice. I had this vision that when starting out of how they want me to be as a student nurse, they expect to be the perfect nurse never making a mistake, always being patient and kind, however, as a student nurse everyday you have to deal with noncompliant patients, upset family members, and other staff members. Nursing is a challenge but I remember that each day I’m helping someone and one kind word could brighten a patients day, that no matter how bad my day is I must remember my core values and the reason I went into nursing.
When I decided to become a nurse I knew I was making the most important decision of my life. I decided to dedicate my life to the care of others sometimes putting my own health at risk to help the sick to become better or to keep them comfortable during the end of their life. I know that when I become a nurse that every day I will touch a life or a life will touch mine. There are a variety of key attraction that enthuse me in nursing for example; childbirth centers, community health, emergency departments, geriatric wellness programs, intensive care units, mental health programs, occupational health, operating rooms, nursing research, school health, substance abuse treatment programs.
I know as a Student nurse I must work to maintain personal satisfaction and growth. As a student nurse, I’m making a real difference in people's lives every day. No two days are the same, and nursing provides you with knowledge and experience I can use for myself, my family, and my community, in addition to my patients. Some days
