Hey I'm John and this is my story of when my plane crashed and
I had to live or die. I was just out flying my little bush plane around like I always do but one day I seen a weird area in the woods so I flew closer to check it out and as I did my landing gear caught in the tip of a tree and brought my plane down fast it hurdled into the ground and just smashing damn near blowing up and I blacked out.
I woke up still strapped into my seat just hazels looking around everything was black but just a little bit so I waited a few minutes until I got my head back and when I got out it looked like it was almost dark so I got in the back and grabbed some supplies.
In that supplies I had a sleeping bag a strike fire some matches a hunting knife fishing tackle and a box of shells for my 30­06 and then I grabbed my 30­06 and a small hatchet to get some firewood around then sleep her for the night the find my directions in the morning.
So I got a fire going rolled out my sleeping bag and just layed by the fire for a while just thinking about what happened and went to bed for the night.
The next day I woke up looked like it may be about 10:00am I threw some more wood in the fire got my map out trying to figure out where I am I finally found the main area I'm somewhere in Canada right above the border of the U.S. right above michigan and beleive it or not but I'm from michigan shepherd at that really small nice town.
And I got family their so if I could get down there but I don't know how far down it is
I just have a general area maybe I'm way off I don't know we'll see but for now I'm gonna find something to eat.
So I grabbed my fishing pole and tackle if I'm in canada there's a lot of lakes and ponds and rivers so I figured I could get some fish eat them and head out.
I found a small pond later that day sat there for a bit I got three decent sized catfish so I went back to my plane ate a catfish then packed up the rest thinking I'll be there before dark.
But I walked for a few hours no sign of people so I put down my sleeping bag again for the night went to bed are some more fish and continued to walk now I repeated this for a few days.
Then I started to worry because I should have found someone by now

So what I did is stated to think so I set up a base camp kinda thing had my fire pit and went out to get material like sturdy sticks and pine boughs.
And using then I figured I could just set a simple little lean to to keep me warmer and dryer incase it rained and if your wondering the pines boughs are for they roof cause they won't let water or snow in they'll just slide right off and it's a simple frame to make.
So I got started on making that the rolled out my sleeping bag and got some firewood the realized I left my strike fire at the plane.
So now I gotta find a new way to start this fire cause that
