Dear Manager,
I would like to explain why I was unable to attend my scheduled time to work on September 10, 2013 at 7:00 pm. At approximately 6:00 pm on September 10, 2013, I was getting ready to leave my house for work and my husband Darshan Singh vulgarly approached me and asked me for the keys to our mailbox. While being quick with my words because it was time for me to leave for work, I told him I had already checked the mail for the day and had not received anything for him. My husband started to aggravate me by saying mean and unnecessary things and we began to argue. He would not stop harassing me, so I got frustrated and grabbed the keys to hand to him and ended up throwing them. My intent was not to hit him, but without realizing it I had thrown the keys at hit his forehead causing him a big bump. My husband then had called the Sheriffs Department and gave his statement and wanted me to be arrested. The Sherriff took my statement and I had admitted to throwing the keys. They then had arrested me. My children were not home at the time, so they were unaware of what had happened. My husband did not tell them that I had been arrested and acted like he didn’t know where I was and that’s why they did not notify my work.
