Never measure your life by people who don’t know Christ.
When I prepared to write this to you I was a bit dismayed because of some personal issues I was facing and needed a word from the Lord. Have you ever wondered I mean just sometimes why you the child of the king need go through so much while others who could care less about the Most High seem to be on easy street or even the hypocrites those who are saved on Sunday and hellish on Monday get away with so much? Psalm 73:2-3 reads like this: But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped. For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. The Psalmist finds himself in the same discouraging dilemma over 2000 years ago I was facing here today. I am reminded of my mother telling me that what ever you are facing, you can find the answers in the word of God. It’s not a hard thing to find yourself in a place of discouragement, but as believers we must do as David did when he was facing various difficulties; he encouraged himself in the Lord. The adversary will always point out your inadequacies, troubles, hurts, misfortunes, and failures in an attempt to tear down what God is building up inside of you. The lesson is this: never measure your life by people who don’t know God. Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.
