My Personal Classroom Management Plan

Abstract
The objective of this paper is to present my personal ideas on how to have effective classroom management. To run an effective classroom, the teacher should have a well developed classroom management plan that should be utilized at all times. A well thought out classroom management plan will not only be a major contributor to your own success as a teacher but it will also help promote your students ability to learn in the classroom. A classroom management plan should be a tool that is not always set in stone but something should be revised when necessary to get the most out
To get my students to conduct themselves appropriately, I will let my students know what the procedures are of the classroom and what I expect out of them. I will model these procedures to my students from the first day of school or class. I will make sure that I am consistent with my classroom rules and consequences. The list of rules and consequences will be posted on the wall so that students can visibly see them on a regular basis. I will have firm confidence in my ability to manage the class if my students understand clearly what is expected of them (Charles, 105).
How Will I Intervene If Misbehavior Occurs? Misbehavior in the classroom can make it hard to teach and can impact the students’ ability to learn. It will be my job as a teacher to deal with the misbehavior in a firm but positive way. I will need to make sure that all misbehavior is documented. This will help me be able to pinpoint what the specific misbehavior is and be able to show parents or administrators if a meeting should ever occur. I will then make sure that some type of intervention is in place and that it has been tried with the particular student who is misbehaving. Trying interventions are important for students so that parents and administrators can see that something has been done to help curb the disruption.
