My Synopsis of “Romeo and Juliet”

The “Romeo and Juliet” film by Baz Lurhmann was modernized widely throughout his film, whether it was from the costumes to the settings of where it was set. The is vastly recognized as the gangs of the Capulet’s and the Montague’s are seen in the 21st century with guns instead of swords. Despite all these visual aspects, the poetry used as well as the language, was very effective throughout this prominent film of “Romeo and Juliet”. Baz Lurhmann, a famous Australian director and producer, created this play into a film by portraying mainly this story that is unknown to many people, as well as presenting his own version of “Romeo and Juliet”, Shakespeare’s most famed play.

Due to my following aspects that are significant in every part of this film, there are some queries, which I believe should be taken into account. Qualities that I consider that should be embroidered into Baz Lurhmann’s film would be to select a different genre, which is partially evident in the film and also a different setting. A genre, in which I personally recommend that will emphasize this film a touch better, would be probably either comedy. The purpose for this is owing to the fact that the story needs to have a comedy sense to the film, not only violence and romance.
