How long will it take me to attain this goal?
If the goal will take a long time to attain, could you set smaller goals that you could attain while still working toward your bigger goal?
How will you benefit from successfully attaining your goal?
(Your personal goal and explanations go here. Be sure to respond to EACH question above.)
My goal is to not jump to conclusions and be fair to my 11 year old daughter when she misbehaves at school. The interpersonal communication skills I would like to improve on is to wait to hear her side face to face and allow her to speak until she is finished without me interrupting. I am close to attaining this goal because she has a lot of misbehavior and we are constantly having to deal with this. I don’t believe this goal is set to high because I do pay attention and already actively listen to her stories but most of the time I think she is lying and I tend to believe the teacher. It will take me weeks to attain this goal because Jacey is doing things to seek attention even if it’s bad behavior. I believe I will benefit from attaining this goal by showing her I am someone who she can trust and come to whenever she is in trouble and I will not jump to take the adults side. I want a bond that is a mother daughter and a best friend with limits.
