GEOGRAPHY ESSAY Over the years in history, geographic traits have influenced historical development and historical events of the nations and regions in both China and India. In both India and China, the Himalayan Mountains had a huge effect on how they lived their everyday lives. The Himalayans had a positive influence on both nations. When China had begun to develop, it developed along the yellow Huang He and the Yangtze Rivers. China is surrounded by deserts, Himalayan Mountains, and the Pacific Ocean. These three natural barriers had kept China isolated and stopped the spread of trading with others. Since China was so isolated, they referred to themselves as the “Middle Kingdom” because they thought they were in the middle of the earth. You have cold weather if you were near the mountains, deserts, and summer. Because of this, you
