Mobile to Mobile Apple and Samsung have been at an eternal war to produce the best smartphones on the market till today. When it comes to being the best phone, it is all up to the customer’s preferences and easy usability. One would argue that the iPhone 5 and Galaxy S4 are both great smartphones that do the same thing and function in the same way. They are similar in a lot of ways with the touchscreen, same basic phone functions and many other things. Although the iPhone 5 and Galaxy S4 are both similar in a lot of ways, the design, software, and cost will show their differences. When buying a phone the first thing that catches some ones attention is the design aspect of the phone. The Galaxy S4 design is simple but unique. It has the removable plastic one piece back that opens up the battery, sim card, and optional memory card slots. It has a centered camera and flash placed on the back that protrudes through the back cover. On the front is the relatively big touchscreen compared to the iPhone 5. Also, it has a more rectangular oval shaped home button on the bottom. On the top you have your speaker, face sensor cameras, and front facing camera for video or self- captured pictures. Since it has the bigger screen the phone is wider which could be a problem with people who have smaller hands. The iPhone 5 has the more unique, flashy, aluminum back that is connected to the whole phone. It has no removable pieces that come off the phone except for the sim card holder that pops out on the right side. The back is a two toned back with aluminum and gorilla glass which creates a luxury look on the phone. The camera is placed in the top left corner of the phone along with the LED flash/light and small microphone pickup. The front screen is a thinner but elongated touchscreen that blends well with the rest of the phone. The talk speaker and front facing camera are both centered above the screen which looks better placed than on the Galaxy S4. The home button is also a complete round circle that indents in the phone for the finger to rest perfectly before pushing down. These two designs both have different ingenuity based on what they think fits the most customer community the best. Who hates when their phone is slow? Everyone should say yes. The software of the phone is what causes the phone to be faster or slower than others. These two phones have very different operating systems that run everything. The Galaxy has a software called Android. Android has been a leading software for a lot of phones out there on the market. This software has a lot going on. It gives the user many variations of creative ways to make the phone personalized. It allows the user to put widgets from different apps, app shortcuts, personalized clocks, messages, etc. on your home pages or multiple pages on your phone. There is so much going that it could be overwhelming to a customer sometimes. The iPhone 5 came at a totally different approach to create there software called iOS. They believe that the larger phone consumer communities out there prefer a simpler, user friendly device software. With iOS there is not a whole lot you can change. You don’t have the pop up widgets to move on your home screen. It is all app icons that are placed on the home screen. It has the ability to have apps moved into each other to create folders which the user can name. It has drop down sections on the screen for notifications, also to get a quick screen for basic uses on the phone simply swipe up on the screen. It all may sound
