Events are everywhere you go. There are events for many different types of things, and everyone in some sort of way has been to an event at least once in their lives. Events vary from garden shows, to fairs. When planning an event, there has to be a concept behind it. This will help you know who your target market is and that will help bring in people. You need to know the goals, stakeholders, attendees, and the expectations of the event. This will help a theme come about that will fit the event. After all the thought has gone into it, then the budget starts to be set. This can make or break the event, depending on what type of event it is. There are three different types of budgets: for-profit, break-even, or not-for-profit event. This is important because this will also help budget the event. Every event needs to have contracts, permits, and all the ethical issues down before the event. If not there is serious punishments coming. This could hurt the business if the rules aren’t being followed. The location of the event will also hurt or help you. It needs to have back-up plans if the weather doesn’t cooperate, and it needs to be assessable to everyone. A timeline will help to refer back to how the event went and when everything was done. How the marketing is done for the event is everything. This will bring all the customers that need to come to the event to make a profit or to raise money for a good cause. Guests will come from all over; some will come by car, plane, and maybe even boat. There will need to be a fun, encouraging atmosphere, no one wants to go to an event that had a bad atmosphere. Food and drinks need to be provided and there will either be a charge, or it will be part that the event covers. There has to be a plan on if they are free, donation, or cost to eat and drink. When planning an event, there needs to be activities at the event. This will attract people and the people attracted will have fun at the event. The set up of the event needs to be well planned. This will make it an easy access and people will enjoy it more. When the event is over, there should be memories made and the event should last a lifetime. All these things will help an event be the best event it could possibly be. However, it needs all these things to be successful, which is what everyone wants from an event.
